WORLD FUTURE - NIGER FUTURE

Born on 20th January 1950 at Zinder.
· High School Certificate Series C (Maths-Physics) Niamey 1969 ;   M.S.C in Maths and basic applications - Nantes, France in 1974;  Predoctoral Degree in Monetary and Financial Economy - Paris, France in 1978;
· Statistics and Economics Engineer Degree - Paris, France in 1978;  Public Companies Management and Administration Degree ENAP - Quebec, Canada 1987;
· Commercial High Studies Advanced Center Degree - Montreal, Canada 1987;
· Work experience scheme in various national and foreign services, industrial companies, services companies, bank and financial institutions.
He held high posts within the Ministry of Planning, particularly as Director of Computer, and Statistics Department and Director of Organization and Methods Office with rank and prerogatives of Advisor to the Prime Minister, Director of many development projects, and National Coordinator of the general census. He was appointed as Administrator of the African Computer Science Institute of Libreville (Gabon) and Head of Niger delegation to the 2nd World Conference on population at Mexico.
His Excellency Mahamane Ousmane was a part time teacher of statistics, computer science and management quantitative techniques at the University of Niamey and at a few vocational training schools of Niger and at some African Computer Science and Applied Economy Institutes.
Politically, he is chairman of the Democratic and Social Convention (CDS Rahama) since February 1991:
- Elected MP of Zinder constituency (March 1993);
- Elected President of the Republic of Niger (March 1993);
- President of the Republic of Niger from 1993 to January 1996;
- Elected MP of Zinder constituency in December 1999;
- Elected Speaker of the National Assembly in December 1999;
- Reelected MP of Zinder constituency in December 2004;
- Reelected Speaker of the National Assembly in December 2004.
He chaired the following functions within interparliamentary organizations:
· Chairman of the Interparliament Committee of the Economic and Monetary of West African States (CIP/UEMOA);
· Chairman of the Francophonie Parliament Assembly (APF);
· Chairman of the Interparliamentary Union Human Rights Committee (UIP);

H.E Mahamane Ousmane is the serving chairman of:
· The ECOWAS Parliament;
· The Interparliament Union Council of the Islamic Conferences States (UPCI).

H.E Mahamane Ousmane has many distinctions:

· Commander of Mono Order of the Republic of Togo
